Virtual Tour of Georgeous Boise Remodel in Hillcrest

With Covid-19 and Idaho's STAY AT HOME status many things have changed, one being Open Houses throughout the Treasure Valley are temporarily cancelled. So, many Real Estate Agents, including myself are doing "virtual open houses". I much prefer hosting a LIVE Open House with champagne, yummy snacks and showing off my client's home for sale and telling potential buyers interesting details about the home and neighborhood, but for now virtual will have to do.

This home is one I was so proud to represent as the Listing Agent. The Owner's and remodelers are a local couple that remodel homes in The Treasure Valley with quality work, TLC and a passion for bringing these older homes back to life while keeping true to their original charm.

It's located at 2903 Laurelhurst Drive in my neighborhood, and the area where I sell many homes, Hillcrest. Hillcrest is a subdivision also known as Country Club Manor in Boise's Bench neighborhood South of Overland in between Curtis and Owyhee. It's a hidden away subdivision nestled against the Hillcrest Country Club and Golf Course and is a true gem of a neighborhood, and no, not just because I live here (wink). The neighborhood is known for it's mid-century charming homes built with quality craftsmanship you just don't find much anymore. The streets are lined with mature trees and beautifully landscaped lawns and yards. It's frequent you will pass a smiling neighbor walking their dog, pushing a stroller or on a jog towards the New York Canal that serves as this subdivision's North boundary with beautiful views of the Boise Mountains.

So let's talk about the house... It's actually a more recent home compared to many of it's neighbors. It was build in 1971 on Laurelhurst Drive just around the corner from the Golf Course. FUN FACT: This was the original street of the Country Club Manor Subdivision in the 1950s. Roosevelt and Overland was the location of the model homes of the era. This home is unique in the fact that it has nearly 2100 sqft and 4 bed/3bath all on one level. No basement, upstairs or second dwelling unit, just a great sized home on one lovely level.

Practically everything was remodeled in this home including all the major/big items i.e. roof, furnace, AC, plumbing, electrical, etc. It was given a fresh new look and paint job and it's warm, cozy wood burning fireplace insert was brought back to life with a new mantle to match. The bathrooms were updated and some walls, doors were moved around in bedrooms and the entry way to give the home a more open feel. All new appliances, cabinets and beautiful Hi-Mac Counters were installed in the galley kitchen, loaded with storage and beaming with natural light from the back yard.

If I wasn't already in love with my Hillcrest Home I would seriously have considered this home to purchase, especially since it has a split bedroom floorplan with TWO MASTER SUITES, perfect for a mother in law (or in my case a mother that lives with us). The yard is charming, fully fenced and I love love the big 2 car garage with shelving and plenty of space for two cars and STUFF.

If you'd like to tour this home personally, or are interested in another property in The Treasure Valley please let me know and I'd be happy to set you up with a "social distancing", mask-wearing, disinfected tour of any home on the market.

Please let me know if you have any questions about this home or others in the area. In the meantime STAY SAFE and hope to see you at a LIVE Open House one day in the future.
